Citizens Against Ruining the Environment ~ C.A.R.E. is proud to announce that once again we are sponsoring a FREE Will County EARTH DAY EVENT ~ May 18, 2008 - 10-4
Will County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and it is critical that this Earth Day we educate the public on Global Environmental problems, Conservation, Clean Energy, and how each individual can positively contribute to these issues.
CARE a grass roots, non profit 501(c)3, volunteer organization was established in 1995. Our mission is educating the public and assisting in resolving environmental issues. We research and network with large environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club, ILPIRG, Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, American Lung, Environmental Law & Policy, IL Environmental Council and the Chicago Legal Clinic to help protect public health and the environment.
This year we have a fantastic lineup such as: Speakers such as Environment IL, Max Mueller-Child Safe Products, Jess Reese-Global Warming, Dave Kraft-Nuclear Energy; Live Wolf/Coyote & weather permitting DiBlasi's Live Reptiles; Bring VintageTech your Electronic Ecycling-computers, monitors, cellphones etc. Share your Soles shoes for charities, Will Cty old eyeglasses & shoes for recycling. Environmental Exhibits, Eco-Friendly Vendors, Live Music w/Andrea & Jofery - Nature Walks w/Morton Arboretum & much more!
We are seeking Donators and Cosponsors for this Free Event. All Donations are welcome. If you would like to be a Cosponsor Your organization’s name will be tiered by level of contribution on our Earth Day T-shirts as follows: Gold Level $1,000, Silver $750 & Bronze $500; Your organization is also invited to set up an environmental/educational Exhibit & you will be included in any press releases and name recognition wherever possible.
Environmental Exhibitors are Free & Eco-friendly Vendors, $25. For those unable to attend for $25 you are invited to publicize your business in our Gift Bags
